Enactus Karlsruhe achieves third place with debacode at the Enactus World Cup 2024

After winning the National Cup with our project debacode in June, Enactus Karlsruhe has now participated in the Enactus World Cup 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan. At the Social Entrepreneurship World Championship, the best teams from 29 countries competed against each other.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have achieved third place. After successfully advancing through an exciting group stage and semifinals, we made it to the finals and share third place with Korea.

This success is the result of the hard work and dedication of our entire team over the past few months. Special thanks go to our speakers Lara, Eric, Selina, and Arun, as well as all team members who contributed to the organization, presentation, travel preparations, fundraising, and our project debacode.

Debacode is a project that, together with students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, develops software solutions for German NGOs and startups. This creates student jobs that help Bosnian students finance their studies and provide them with the opportunity to gain relevant work experience during their studies. In addition, debacode supports IT education in Bosnia by awarding scholarships and organizing workshops or hackathons.

We warmly congratulate the team of Enactus Tunisia on their victory and thank all participating teams for the fair and friendly competition. The diverse encounters and intercultural exchange made the Enactus World Cup a unique experience for us.
